O QUE É CHEQUE LEGAL?

Em atendimento ao artigo 9º da Resolução n.º 3972, divulgada pelo Banco Central do Brasil, o Cheque Legal é um portal que permite a consulta da situação física de um cheque, GRATUITAMENTE. Qualquer pessoa física ou empresa poderá realizar a consulta.

Basta preencher o número do CPF ou CNPJ do emissor do cheque, o código CMC7 (no rodapé do cheque) e o número do CPF ou CNPJ de quem está consultando o cheque.

O sistema informará a situação física do cheque, ou seja, se o mesmo não está bloqueado, furtado/roubado, sustado ou revogado ainda que em caráter provisório, bloqueado pelo banco, porque o correntista recebeu o talão e ainda não desbloqueou, cancelado, extraviado ou destruído, ou ainda não é objeto de bloqueio judicial, de conta corrente encerrada.
